2 Nice Sites

These 2 sites have been keeping me entertained whilst I redo a website/procrastinate at the moment.

The first is Trains Are...Mint, which I was alerted to by the Radcliffe and Maconie show on Radio 2 as the guy that makes it has also done the artwork for the new Elbow album. They're basically books about him wandering up and down railway lines and drawing whats around him - Roald Dahl would be spinning in his grave if he saw them (in the 80's he made a leaflet about not playing on railways which was illlustrated Quentin Blake and probably had the effect of making it seem more exciting than it really was).

The second website I found via Trains are...Mint is The Banal Pig. I've been sniggering away at these cartoons most of yesterday. Both are worth trailing all the way back through the blogs.

Someday my prints will come

I've finally sorted out a place to have prints and canvasses done - 2 in fact.

Both and now print my artwork. Both are quite highly rated and supported by strong artsy communities.

Theres little to vary between the two - I think one may be better than the other for postage and shipping than the other depending on where abouts you are in the world. Imagekind may be better for larger prints and canvasses and Redbubble may be better for smaller prints.

Have a look and let me know what you think anyway.

Prints and that

Lots of people (about 3) have written to me about getting prints and whatnot made. I'm currently trying out different ways of getting prints done that won't cost a huge amount or leave me with 10 boxes of unwanted prints in the shed.

At the moment, the only prints available are of selected Big Book of George images at which is great. I'm also going to shove up some of the Tour pictures on there in a week or two. However, Lulu's postage rates seem to be within the realm of fantasy so I'm currently looking for practical alternatives.

Finally, hello to Jenny and Clive :)
